oUR STORY

Time for Tea began on September 17, 2017, when Founder Tracey Phipps hosted her first event at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando. Newly relocated from New York City, she was inspired by the drive and energy of Central Florida’s women and envisioned a space where they could connect, share openly, and learn from one another—over tea.

As the vision grew, Tracey recognized the importance of reaching young women early, preparing them to lead confidently and sit at tables where diversity matters. In 2020, she launched the Time for Tea Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and introduced the Time for Tea Experience—a program that has equipped over 500 girls with leadership, social, and etiquette skills. In 2025, the foundation proudly expanded to the DMV area.

Tracey’s journey is at the heart of this mission. An Afro-Latina from Washington, D.C., with Dominican roots, she is a first-generation professional, bilingual leader, and fashion industry alum who has lived and worked internationally. Today, she continues to champion diversity, faith, and community while serving as a worship leader in Baltimore and cherishing time with her son, Malachi.
